Cells sorter

Cell sorters can isolate and harvest one or more subpopulations of cells according to criteria relative to size, granularity (cell content) and fluorescence (receptor, genetic transformation, cell phase, etc.).

The cells thus harvested can then be analysed biochemically or replaced in culture.

FACS Melody (BD Biosciences) – see configuration

  • Three visible lasers (405nm, 488nm and 561nm), eight fluorescence parameters
  • Under PSM (to be defined)
  • Isolation or enrichment of one or two cell populations
  • Cell cloning (96- or 384-well plates)
  • Up to 10,000 events per second.

FACS Aria Fusion (BD Biosciences) – see configuration

  • Three visible lasers and one UV (405nm, 488nm, 640nm and 355nm), 18 fluorescence parameters
  • Under PSM
  • Isolation or enrichment of up to four different cell populations
  • Cell cloning (96- or 384-well plates)
  • Up to 30,000 events per second.
