DIGE workshop at the CRCT, 6, 7, 8 October 2015

The CRCT Technology Cluster Proteomics Platform is organising a DIGE workshop on 6, 7 and 8 October.
During the course, which will alternate practical work (from the labelling of proteins with fluorochromes to the picking of gels) and theory (with speakers from GE Healthcare), the six participants will be able to study the feasibility of a project using their own samples.
The Platform benefits from all the equipment necessary for this technology, and for the past six years has been offering its expertise to research teams in Toulouse.

ProtéoPACA Event 2015: Cancer & Proteomics, from global to targeted proteomics

On 17 June 2015, Frédéric Lopez and Laetitia Ligat participated in the 7th meeting of the PACA (Provence-Côtes d’Azur) network of Proteomics Platforms (ProtéoPACA 2015) in Marseilles. During this event, presentations focused on the theme of “Cancer & Proteomics, from global to targeted proteomics”.

Invited by GE Healthcare, they presented the results of the work with the coupled Biacore-Mass Spectrometry technology obtained by Barbara Garmy-Susini, a research scientist at the Institute for Metabolic and Cardiovascular Diseases in Toulouse (I2MC, INSERM U1048).

Renewal of the dual ISO 9001:2008 and NFX 50-900 certification of the Proteomics Platform

Since July 2011, the CRCT Proteomics Platform has been certified as ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management Systems).
In 2014, a standardisation committee compiled a new standard, NFX 50-900 “Management systems integrating a quality management system: Requirements for Technology Platforms for Research in the Life Sciences”.
This standard has mainly been introduced for Research Technology Platforms.  It covers all the requirements of ISO 9001 :2008, but adds supplementary requirements specific to scientific service and research activities in the life sciences, and regarding the “management” section includes the recommendations of ISO 9004 in the form of requirements and notes.  It thus enables dual ISO 9001:2008 and NFX 50-900 certification.

The dual ISO 9001:2008 and NFX 50-900 certification of the Proteomics Platform, audited on 9 June 2015 by LRQA, has been renewed for a period of three years.
